Hello,

Can you fo the following test on another computer: install the drivers, connect the power plug and the USB cable, and check if the LEDs near the jog wheel light on or not?
1) If they light on, then I suspect the problem is a setting in your Mac.
2) If they do no light on, then I suspect the problem is the power adapter.

I tried to set up in windows 8 and install all updated drivers from serato and ts.hercules.com websites. Still no LED on near the jogwheels. I brought also the power adapter to electronic shop to test the output dc voltage and it was measured 7.5vdc 1A. So it means the power adapter is OK. I will try to find universal power adapter with the same output ratings and test it and will post again here in forum.

Hello,

If you test a universal power adapter, make sure it is a regulated power adapter (today's CE power adapters are regulated).

HiI have the same problem with my Jogvision Hercules. The device is not powering up. I have checked the adapter and it works fine. I have used a different adapter without success.
I am using a MACbook Pro, MAC Os Monterey. The Controller is a DJcontrol Jogvision Hercules, using Serato software.

Please assist.

Hello Vady,

Welcome to the forum.
For a technical issue, please always complete your technical profile on

https://www.herculesdjmixroom.com/en-us/account/informations/
in "Hercules hardware in use", check the DJ controller name
in "Software in use", check the DJ software
in "Describe your equipment" , type
  • Environment (for example macOS 12.3.1)
  • brand and model CPU RAM (as MacBook Air 11"Early 2015, Corei7 2.2 GHz, 8 GB RAM)
  • Type of USB port: for example 2 USB 3.0 ports type A
  • Hercules DJ Drivers : for example DJSeries 6.44s)

1) Do the LEDs near the jog wheel light on or not?

  • if they light on, we should look at settings on the mac or USB side.
  • if they remain off, there is probably a problem on the power side, probably the power adapter.

2) It is difficult to make sure the power adapter is not the cause, as a basic voltmeter test

  • checks the voltage at the DC power output,
  • but not the load regulation (how the voltage drops when the DJ controller starts, as the controller sudden power consumption may make the voltage drop which stops the DJ controller boots).

If you have tested on a Macbook Pro in a version of macOS on which this Jogvision unit has previously worked, I believe the controller power supply is no longer sufficient, so please test on another switching power supply, with a 7.5v to 9v DC output and 1.5 to 2A intensity (avoid 1A since if the current 1A adpater is no longer sufficient, your issue may come from the power adapter becoming old, but it may also mean your Jogvision now needs slightly more than 1A), as:
