dj console rmx2 doesn't work anymore

hai fellow dj’s. since a month i am having trouble with the proper functioning of my hercules dj console rmx2, including the software djused 40. somehow things doesn’t work anymore, no matter what i try. i have no idea whether the problems are caused by the controller or the software. and just now i am confronted with the fact that djused 40 is telling me that it does not recognize the console. so i am really stuck now. i would be so pleased if someone would be willing to give me some suggestions what i could try to get things going again. could it be that the usb connection is not in order? or do you have other ideas – or maybe even experience with this problem and with solving it – what could be wrong?

 

my pc – system type 32 bit operating system x64-based processor -  has intel core ™ quad cpu q8300 @ 2.50 ghz, installed memory 4.00 gbi and  i am using windows 8.1 enterprice.
