BBC offers 16,016 sound effects for personal, education or research use on on http://bbcsfx.acropolis.org.uk/ The sounds are in Wav format, and cover multiple areas as: - human sounds (crowd, footsteps, shriek, applause, shouts, laughters...) - animal sounds (farm cattle, lion, horse, rats, dogs, monkeys...) - objects sounds (cars, planes, train, printers, phones, doors, - weapon sounds (rifles, grenades, bombs, - weather sounds (thunder, wind, rain, storm...) You may recognize among the sounds effects you have already heard in movies and TV shows. The effects are available under the terms of RemArc license. You can play with these sounds for your leisure or education, but not for public or paid use.
