Ikutaro Kakehashi, father of MIDI and founder or Roland, has died on 2017-04-01.
On Namm Show in January 1983, Roland and Sequential Circuits unveiled the Universal Musical Interface technology, whose name became MIDI ((Musical Instrument Digital Interface) later, in showing the communication between 2 synthesizers, a Sequential Circuits Prophet 600 and a Roland JX-3P. Ikutaro Kakehashi (former president of Roland) and Dave Smith (former president of Sequencial Circuits) were awarded a Technical GRAMMY in 2013 for contributions to the development of MIDI.
The many uses of MIDI include the communication between DJ controllers and DJ software on Windows, Linux, macOS and iOS.
We offer our most sincere condolences to Ikutaro Kakehashi family.

Increased stability through audio and memory optimizations
Cue Color Match enhancement Whether you change the rank of the cue points, as sorting Cues Chronologically, or whether you assign another colour to a cue point, each pad of DJControl Jogvision now matches the color the cue point it controls.
Chronological Loops & Cue When the "Sort Cues and Loops Chronologically" option is turned on, each track’s saved Loops and Cues will be displayed in the order they appear throughout the track, rather than the order they were created in, which simplifies the workflow of saving and triggering Cues and Loops.
Reordering Loops After creating your Loops you may wish to have them saved in a specific order: this let you drag saved loops to the position of your choice
Favorite FX Banks You can now have two entirely different FX Banks saved, available to load whenever needed. Each bank when saved will remember the FX loaded with each parameter that was set. This is useful when wanting to switch between two configurations. For example, you could have Bank A for Single FX and Bank B for Multi FX, or Bank A for subtle FX such as Reverb, Filter and Bank B for performance FX such as Pitch Looper, Tremolo. Once you've got a Favorite FX Bank saved you go on to use other FX inside Serato DJ, then you recall your favorite in clicking back on the A or B bank button.
When pluging the DJ controller to a computer, the lights of the controller switch on and off to form a light show called Vegas Mode. It shows which keys are backlit, it animates your booth in a party when you stop DJing, and it can also be used in your Youtube videos. Here are the controls to start the Vegas Mode at any moment: Instant (and short) Vegas mode
DJControl Instinct Deck A (Pitch Bend Minus + Pitch Bend Plus) + Deck B (Pitch Bend Minus + Pitch Bend Plus)
DJControl Air Deck A (Pitch Bend Minus + Pitch Bend Plus) + Deck B (Pitch Bend Minus + Pitch Bend Plus)

A brand-new version of the pro DJ software that lets users mix, create and have fun with their music in the most intuitive way possible
Anaheim, California – January 19, 2017 – Spearheaded by Hercules, a leader in mobile and professional DJ equipment, the DJUCED™ teams are thrilled to announce the company’s new enhanced version of their pro DJ software DJUCED™ 40° 3.5 at NAMM 2017.
A big part of the teams’ strength lies in the importance they place on listening to their user community when it comes to making improvements in DJUCED™, as was the case with the Sample Editor, and responding to the new expectations that have emerged from the base of 500,000 licensed users.
More precise than ever: A fully-scalable interface with 4K support, and high-resolution waveforms One of the most important aspects for DJs – the ability to view the tracks that they’re working on as precisely as possible – has been taken into account in DJUCED™ 40° 3.5. To make things easier and more comfortable for DJs, the interface automatically adapts to all screen resolutions from 1024 x 600 right up to 4K displays. What’s more, thanks to the new high-resolution waveforms, DJs can use a high-level zoom – with single-sample accuracy – with 6 different vivid color schemes available to enhance viewing precision and speed, and for better interaction with the DJ.
Beat Counter Instantly view the beat alignment between “Master” and “Deck” for easier beatmatching with this new visual tool.
Discover even more great improvements! The “Smart Mix” Automix feature can be used directly from the DJUCED™ 40° 3.5 file explorer. This feature helps users find the best-matching tracks to be played, in terms of BPM and key.
Vinyl Torque is an innovative new emulator that lets users feel the weight of real turntable platters, and use the “Brake effect”.
And last but certainly not least, improvements to the Scratch feature in DJUCED™ 40° 3.5 now ensure optimized compatibility with the Hercules DJControl Jogvision controller!
