I was just wondering what options I have when connecting the RMX to speakers for studio monitors at home, and to big speakers for DJing a party at a venue.

I've only been seeing people use XLR cables connecting to their speakers, which the RMX2 has, but I'm confused on what kind of speakers and cables I would need if I'm using the RMX.

I do have some VocoPro SV300 speakers, but the RCA I have doesn't connect to them and I'm gonna assume that those speakers aren't ideal for DJing.

And while you're at it, I might as well ask for any suggestions on a beginner DJ setup using the RMX and a 2015 MacBook Pro.

Thank you in advance, I appreciate your help

Hello,

As neither VocoPro nor you provide an image showing the rear panel of these speakers SV-300 (http://www.vocopro.com/products/product_info.php?ID=112), it is not possible to guess what are the connectors on these speakers.

Are these speakers
- active (with a power plug),
- or passive (no power plug)?

If their rear side is like VS-500 and 600 (like that)

then they are passive speakers and you cannot connect the Rmx outputs directly to these speakers, you must
- connect the Rmx outputs to the inputs of an amplifier,
- and connect the amplifier outputs to the VS-300 speakers.

Have you an amplifier like one of the amplifiers listed on http://www.vocopro.com/products/products.php?
