[SOLVED]DJ Console MK 2, defekt?

 Hallo,

ich habe heute meine DJ Console MK2 bekommen und gleich ein dickes Problem: Output 1/2 bleibt stumm! Es kommt nur ein leises rauschen, aber kein Sound. Wenn ich auf Output 3/4 umstöpsle kommt Musik raus, nur eben aus 1/2 nicht. Mein system ist WinXP, Treiber sind die neuesten. Irgendjemand nen Rat für mich?

 Hello,

Please precise with which software you use, and whether you have tested both on DJ du RCA and on jack 1/8'' output.

 I use Virtual DJ 6 and tested the Cinch (RCA) and also the jack 1/8 of output 1/2, both delivered no sound. Output 3/4 works proper, only Output 1/2 doesn´t work.
Drivers and Software are up -to- date, system recognizes the console as a soundcard as it should. I think the console must be defective !?!

1) Can you make sure you have the following setting:
- in DJ Console Rmx control panel, set DJ Console Rmx in ASIO
- in VirtualDJ Config panel, in the sound setup tab 
Inputs: nono
Outputs: headphones (Master: ch 1&2 / Headphones: ch 3&4)
Sound card: DJ Console Rmx (with the setting "Apply Eq on external inputs)
- in VirtualDJ interface, check the gain is not on 0.
- on the DJ Console Rmx hardware, make sure the "Vol Main" fader is not on minimum.

2) It makes no sense to believe the sound board is defective in testing only with VirtualDJ 6, which is not a final software yet. Check if you have sound with VirtualDJ 5.2.2 DJC?

 I tried usin ASIO, but then I get an error message like "No directx driver....", but DirectX9 is installed. Also it switches always automatically back to WDM. I also thought this could be the problem, but I couldn´t find a solution yet, and because Output 3/4 works I thought Output 1/2 must be defective.

I also tested the Output with other software as it is recognized as a normal Soundcard. So also Winamp worked proper on Output 3/4, but Output 1/2 still is silent. I also have a VDJ 3.5 version with which I tested the output, but it´s always the same...

1) If the output 3-4 is of the Mk2 is properly detected in WinAmp, while only output 1-2 should be detected, I suppose you have a firmware issue so I suggest you to update the firmware of your Mk2, as described here.

2) The message "No DirectX driver"is normal when you try to set the DJ Console Mk2 in ASIO in the control panel. The DJ Console Mk2 is either in WDM = DirectX mode, or in ASIO mode, so if you force your Mk2 to be in ASIO mode while VirtualDJ tries to set it in WDM, you get a "no DirectX driver" message.

To set your DJ Console Mk2 in ASIO in VirtualDJ 3.4 DJC, check the box "Apply equalization on external inputs" in VirtualDJ configuration menu.

To set your Dj Console Mk2 in WDM in VirtualDJ 3.4 DJC, uncheck the box "Apply equalization on external inputs" in VirtualDJ configuration menu.

 Hi Maxdjack,
thanks for your help so far, but I must inform you that I´ve sent my console back to my dealer. I talked to him and asked him for a solution, he couldn´t offer me one. So he told me I shuold just send the console back to him and I will get a new one. I can imagine that the console wasn´t defective and would have worked proper if I had used your solutions you described, but now I must wait till I get the console back. I will keep you informed as soon as I got news, so don´t be confused why I won´t write here anymore for the next days. Again, thanks for your help so far, I´ll be back as soon as possible.

 Hi Cito schau mal nach ob bei den einstellung von deiner MK2 alles passt kann sein das du out 3/4 on hast und out 1/2 off hast da teil findes in der start leiste dieser mini Button wo wie ne platte aussieht musst halt schauen das dein konfig richtig passt
