hi. i would like to buy a used hercules inpulse 200 controller. is there a serial number needed to (download and) register djuced? i asked because the original serial number of the used device may be used - if there isnt any serial i will buy a used one, if there is a serial needed i prefer to buy a new one.
btw: anyone here has experiences with mixxx and how about virtualdj (which i find a little too expensive for a hobbyist)?

A serial number is built in each DJControl Inpulse 200 unit, but it is not related to the user, so if Djuced detects the DJ controller connected to a PC/Mac, it knows its serial number and that's all, Djuced features are activated.
I use DJControl Inpulse 200 in VirtualDJ Pro and it is perfect, DJControl Inpulse 200 is pre-mapped in VirtualDJ Pro.
I have tested DJControl Inpulse 200 and 300 in Mixxx, it is not premapped so you must donwload the mapping files which have been developped by Phatso here, and it works.
