Hello,

1) Before starting Mixxx, open Hercules DJ Console Rmx control panel, go to the advanced tab
and make sure that Rmx MIDI channel is set on 1

2) Check the audio mode in DJ Console Rmx control panel:
- if it is set on WDM, then in Mixxx you must select the Sound API Windows DirectSound,
- it is is set on ASIO, then in Mixxx you must select the Sound API ASIO

3) Then you can start Mixxx, make sure you load Rmx MIDI mapping:
https://www.mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/hercules_dj_console_rmx

Then go in Mixxx Preferences > Sound Hardware > Output,
- select the Sound API relevant with the audio mode you selected on Rmx control panel Audio Mode (DirectSound if you selected WDM, ASIO if you selected ASIO)
- and select the appropriate device in Outputs, for example
Master             Hercules DJConsole Rmx ASIO    Channels 1-2
Headphones    Hercules DJConsole Rmx ASIO    Channels 3-4

Hello,

To load the MIDI mapping, follow the process described here
https://www.mixxx.org/manual/latest/chapters/controlling_mixxx.html
  1. Connect and install DJ Console Rmx on your PC before running Mixx
  2. In Mixxx, go to Preferences
  3. In Preference, go to Controllers,
  4. Select Hercules DJ Console Rmx
  5. Make sure the Enabled check-box is activated, and the Load Preset field is on Hercules DJ Console Rmx
  6. click on OK.

Hi,

I answer instead of Max as I have access to a unit of DJ Console Rmx 1, while Max has no Rmx 1 today.

1) Your audio settings in Mixxx
They seem OK, you must make sure you have set the Rmx Audio mode in ASIO (in DJ Console Rmx control panel) before running Mixxx.
If you have no sound with the Mixxx audio setting of your screenshot, make sure you did not let the Rmx Audio mode on WDM (it is its default mode).
Here you can see my DJ Console Rmx control panel, with Audio Mode set on ASIO.

And Here you can see my Sound Hardware setting in Mixxx, it is the same as yours, but in english (with a lower buffer size as I take a 4ms buffer in DJ Console Rmx control buffer).

If you only have headphones:
a) connect the headphones to one of headphones output on DJ Console Rmx, on top panel or on front connector,
b) make sure you do not let headphones or a jack adapter in the other headphones connector on Rmx
c) on DJ Console Rmx controller, use the Monitor button (close to the headphones volume)
- set it to the Mix position to Hear the Mix output (what you would get in speakers if you had speakers connected)
- set it to the Cue position to hear the preview (the deck you select with the Cue Select button).

2) Your Controller Setting in Mixxx
It is OK, I have the same setting as yours as you can see hereafter.
